Achievements
Documenting, following-up and defending more than 200 land, road and settlement cases;
Publishing a number of statistical based reports and studies on Israeli land and agricultural violations and Israeli settlement activity;
Preparing a study on Palestinian olive oil production in terms of quantity and quality, and exploring the possibilities of marketing abroad. This study was conducted in 1996 in cooperation with the Italian institutions Movimondo and Finolovia cooperative.
Participating in many local and international conferences and seminars during which working papers were prepared and presented by the centers’ staff.
Gaining membership at the International Support Committee of the International Food Security Forum affiliated with FAO;
The Agricultural Development Project:
Implementing a number of agricultural family projects in cooperation with the Italian Crocevia institution. The funding for this project which started in 1990 and will end in Dec. 1997 came from the Italian foreign ministry. Beneficiaries include families affected by the Israeli violations.
Implementing a number of agricultural projects in cooperation with the Italian institution- CISS- and with funding coming from the EEC. This project was carried out during the period from 1992-95.
Implementing two land reclamation projects in cooperation with the Italian Peace Organization during 1994 to protect land threatened with confiscation.
Implementing two small livestock projects in cooperation with the Italian Movimondo- Molisv institution in 1996
Implementing a number of agricultural training projects for farmers who were involved in the above mentioned projects. One of these projects took place in the Italian city of Pisa in 1992, and four projects were conducted in the West Bank during the period from 92-1995 in cooperation with experts from the Italian Crocevia institution
Implementing an advanced training course for Palestinian agricultural engineers at the Italian CESSAR institution in the city of Assisi in 1996 for three months followed by a two month application period in Palestine during 1997. This course was carried out in cooperation with experts from the Italian Tamat institution
Implementing five agricultural courses for women in the field of food manufacturing and preservation as well as the manufacturing of Italian cheese, traditional soap making and ways of growing medical herbs.
Initial project implementation on the "Inventory of the Soil resources of the West Bank and Gaza Strip." This project is funded by the Italian Timesis and CSI institution. The project will last from 1997 until 2000.
