Governorate: Salfit

Location: The village of Iskaka, 3 kilometers to the north of Salfit.

Exact location of violation: The following areas of the village: Al- Kafaif, Qaser Al-Khan, Hariqet Imran, Al- Jabel and Al- Dahra.

Village Population: Approximately 1000 inhabitants live in the village.

Village area: about 2000 dunums.

Type of violation: seizure of land by military order for security purposes dated 05.04.2002.

Area of seized land: according to the military order, the area is 28 dunums, but according to the village local council the area is 55 dunums ( a strip of land with the length of 1100 meters and width of 45 meters).

Nature of land: 60% of the land is cultivated with olives and the remaining 40 % with cereals.

The targeted land is adjacent to the bypass road linking between the colony of Areil to the west of Iskaka and the colony of Rihalim to the east of the village.

Previous violations against Iskaka:

1. The construction of a 4 kilometers long bypass road linking between the colonies of Areil and Rihalim. 100 dunums of Palestinian owned land were destroyed to make way for the construction of the road, in addition to the uprooting of 2000 olive trees.

2. The seizure of 1000 dunums of Palestinian owned land during the establishment of Areil colony in 1978.
