Waleed Shalalda told LRC:

“One month ago, I started building a house for my family, as we have been living in a rented apartment for many years and need to have a permanent home, during the construction phase, the occupation municipality employees showed up and gave us a halt of work notice on the pretext of building without licenses.

We halted the construction and headed to the court to file a plea and apply for a license , but the Ministry of Interior had already issued an order and hanged it on the targeted structure , the order gave us only 72 hours to demolish the building or the municipality will carry out the demolition and make us pay all the costs.”

Both Shalada and ‘Aramin carried out the demolition in Friday July 3rd 2020.
