Illegal Colonists Ravage 6 dunums of Pastoral lands to establish a new Pastoral Outpost in “Al-Faw” area the northern Jordan Valley / Tubas Governorate

Violation : Establishment of a New Colonial Outpost

Location : Wadi al Faw, Tubas governorate

Date : February, 2025

Perpetrating Party : Settlers

Victims : Bedouins communities at the area

Details :

In the early days of February, 2025, a group of settlers, with protection of the Israeli occupation forces, established a new colonial outpost on the lands of ‘’ Faw’’ area, located north the Jordan valley, within Wadi Al Malih area.

It is worth mentioning that the Bedouin community living in the area were surprised in the morning to find the settlers had seized a high hilltop, west of the bypass road known as ‘’ Alon ‘’ colonial road.

In the following day, the settlers set up two tents at the site. Followed by development of an agricultural road, linking ‘Alon’ bypass road to a new colonial outpost. In addition to establishing permanent building there, this led to their control at about 6 dunams from the pastoral lands. Which is classified as ‘’state land’’.

A new outpost is located just 300 meters from another pastoral outpost that established since 6 years ago in ‘Wadi Al Faw’ area. It is also a few meters away from Bedouin gathering. consisting of 3 families from Abu Aram family.

Outpost established in 2019

Mr. Mahdi Daraghmeh, the head of Bedouin community, confirmed that what the settlers are doing is part of a systematic policy, aimed at taking control of vast areas of land, and completely closing them off in an attempt to displace the remining Bedouins in Jordan valley.

Daraghmeh added :

There is an aggressive campaign aimed at seizing the land of Jordan valley, what has happened is a real threat to the Bedouin community at the area. It is means to steal agricultural lands, judaize them, and completely changing their features, if this situation continues, the entire area will be emptied of its Bedouin population.

The Palestinian Jordan valley suffers from the occupations policy, which aims to Judaize vast areas of land through the establishment of colonial outposts and tightening the pressure on the residents, in an attempt to empty the area of its original inhabitants. This raises alarm and threatened the implementation of the annexation of the Jordan valley plan, through which the occupation seeks to gain full of control over the valley and impose a new colonial reality.

The General Assembly strongly regretted Israel's continued implementation of these measures, especially the establishment of settlements in the occupied Arab territories.
