Details:
Tuesday morning, March,19th 2025, Wadi A Matoi area located west Salfit witnessed a damage attack by settlers live in Al Ras area, north west Salfit.
It’s worth mentioning that settlers raided agricultural tents in Wadi Matoi area belong to Bedouin family (Mohammad Suliman Al Azazmeh family) who supports a family consisting of 4 members, two of them are females and two children, as all of them live in the same tents.
It’s worth mentioning settlers live in this outpost located just a few meters away from the community, under threat of the weapon settlers attack a family and preventing from cattle the sheep around the community, as another group of settlers set fire in two tents belong to community residents, causing damages as follows:
The citizen Mohammad Suliman Al Azazmeh told as follows:
‘’We live in Wadi Al Matoi over past 30 years, relying on sheep and livestock of our source of income, as I own 170 sheep, I rely on grazing. But since the establishment of pastoral outpost, my life is changed and become living under threating of settlers. A few days ago, the harassment of settlers increased including paving a colonial road located on 80 meters away from residential and agricultural tents, they attack our tents continuously. Five days ago, at night they attacked us and beat me. Today same settlers burned two tents and tried attack me and my sons and threatened me to confiscate my sheep so I don’t know what to do.’’
A few days ago, a field researcher documented settlers paving and rehabilitating colonial roads began with a colonial outpost in Al Ras area on the lands of north Salfit and expend to a new pastoral outpost in the lands of Farkha village with no less than 3 km length passing wadi Al Matoi area on private Palestinian properties lands.
It’s worth mentioning that a Bedouin family that was assaulted today is located very close to that road. It is not unlikely that the settlers will resort to forcibly displacing these Bedouin families. as has happened with many other Bedouin families, in an attempt to empty the land and seizer it of the expansionist colonial project.
